This is the first of the recordings that Adrian Iaies made in Barcelona for the very fine label Ensayo with the legendary Antonio Armet leading the session.
A half of the repertoire included in this CD (a whole collection of traditional tangos, except an original of the pianist) are solopianos, and the other part are duos.
The journalist and writer Carlos Sampayo introduced Iaies with the owners of Ensayo Label that inmediately committed him this recording.
The funny story is that Iaies and Fumero met by the first time the night before to record, and this was the beggining of a strong friendship and a very intense artistic relationship.
