"Cada mañana the trae" is Adrian Iaies's latest album. This work finds him leading a new group, the drum less trio, with two of the most outstanding figures of the Buenos Aires* new jazz scene: Trumpeter Mariano Loiacono and double bass player Juan Manuel Bayon.
This is the first work of this pianist, composer, producer and artistic director of the Jazz festival in Buenos Aires, where he signs as a composer in the whole repertoire.
It's hard to find some earlier work from Iaies with such a jazzy sound, and with a balance so even and achieved between written and improvised music.
It's been memorable and very inspiring for the musicians to have recorded this album in the Golden Lounge at the Colon Theatre, the emblematic Lyrical Coliseum of Buenos Aires, famous for its remarkable acoustic conditions.
Florencio Justo has been the engineer responsible for the recording, mixing and mastering, who had already worked with Iaies in his last works, and has become one of the most required professionals in Buenos Aires for jazz recording. The beautiful cover photo was taken by the multidisciplinary artist Catalina Hardoy. The art design was in charge of PlantaBajaC Studio, that's been working with the artist for over fifteen years.
